What You’re Saying

“I’m with a local bank. They always know my name. I got my student loans through them, too. Now and then, they’ll waive a fee just to thank me for being a customer. I’m proud to let them take care of my money.”

“We can fight back against the big banks. In addition to organizing to hold them accountable with real reform, we can move our money to community banks who support consumer protection..”

I am going to move my money today. I love the idea. Instead of bitching to my friends about how out of control the “SYSTEM” has gotten. I can do something tangible today.

I have had alot of trouble with HSBC. They have stalled over 8 weeks for approving (or disapproving) a short sale offer on my house that has been on the market for over 2 years; and issued a foreclosure summons instead. Just today, I realized that the bank withdrew $550 from my personal checking account without my authorization. I am beginning to wonder if this is a democracy or something else…..
